Pictures of England
Traveling Photographer To Castles, Cottages, the Cornish Coast, Dartmoor and British Pubs
Our pictures of England feature many castles and palaces, but we've not seen any gardens more lovely than Hampton's Privy Garden. Follow this link for more photos of Hampton Court Palace.
Tom and I met while taking pictures of England and Ireland in 1997. We were in the UK on a tour celebrating the opening of the American Air Museum in Duxford.

Lydia Mill in South Brent at Dartmoor
In 1999 we returned for our honeymoon and stayed at 4 different locations. Our favorite was Lydia Mill in South Brent located at the foot of Dartmoor. This time we stayed in Wisteria Cottage, next door. Wisteria Cottage overlooks the waterfall and ancient Lydia Bridge. Both cottages were built in the 1500s.

We toured the inside of Windsor Castle on our honeymoon in 1999, so we spent our 2 nights in Windsor wandering the streets, relaxing on a boat tour of the Thames, watching the Queens Guard and band on their way to the Changing of the Guards. And, ofcourse, we ate and shopped. I was ecstatic to find that Drury House where I ate with friends 15 years ago was still owned by the same family and still served Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding.
Since we each are, after all, traveling photographers, we took a leave of absence from the charm of our quaint English cottage to explore the Cornish coast, the most southerly portion of England. After spending 19 years on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, I was anxious to greet the Cape's twin cities of Truro and Falmouth. Its a beautiful area and we gained many more scenic pictures of England which we will be sharing with you.
Our drive was assaulted by multiple down-pours and hail, but at the end of the one track road to the Trebah Gardens, we were met by glorious sunshine. And, the gardens beautifully met our expectations. But more about that later....

Pendennis CastlE, Falmouth
We had a lovely view of Falmouth Harbor from our bow window at the Bed & Breakfast. The next morning we drove to Pendennis Castle on a bluff overlooking the harbor and inlet, a fortification of Henry VIII which are displayed on our Cornwall page!
Falmouth England became our gate to the rugged and spectacular Cornish coast.

We invite you to become part of our trip through our beautiful pictures of England. A great place to begin is London with a glimpse inside Kensington Palace, former home of Princess Diana and now home to Prince William and Duchess Kate.
