Cape Cod National Seashore
Amazed, Henry David Thoreau said of the Cape Cod National Seashore, "A man may stand there and put all America behind him."
The Highland Lighthouse located in the Cape Cod National Seashore has a history that begins prior to 1797.
Nauset Lighthouse history goes back to the early 1800s.
My favorite beaches include Nauset Light and Marconi in the National Seashore.

The Salt Pond Vistors Center in Eastham is about the halfway point of Cape Cod's National Seashore as it stretches along the Cape Cod's Atlantic Ocean shoreline.
The view of the Salt Pond from the Visitors Center is absolutely breath taking. The Nauset Marsh Trail winds past it, over a couple of rustic bridges, and through the marsh and woodlands with a view to the Atlantic Ocean.
The Visitors Center, itself, is a wealth of information with historical, archeological and nature exhibits, films, and lectures as well as a large bookstore with gifts and souvenirs.
Be sure to bring your camera. There are lots of opportunities for photography art!

Provincelands
Located at the finger-tip of Cape Cod, Provincelands is a glorious panorama of sanddunes, beach grass and rippling ocean. Bike trails traverse the dunes climbing and dropping to unexpected valleys. The Provincelands Visitor Center provides an introduction to the ecology and history of this area that was the Pilgrims first stop as they sought a home in this new land, and it is a magnificent ending to the Cape Cod National Seashore.
